We are an engineering consultancy that, since 2004, has supported the national and international aquaculture industry through technical studies for the selection, installation, and operation of fish, mussel, and algae farming centers.

We also collaborate with entities that oversee and regulate aquaculture activity, serving as advisors in the development of specific standards for the design, calculation, and operation of farming centers.

We create operational standards tailored to the realities of each aquaculture producer, supporting the pursuit of efficiency, environmental safety, and occupational safety.

To achieve this, at AEX Group we have a multidisciplinary team of professionals and cutting-edge technologies to carry out oceanographic studies, mooring engineering projects for farming centers, surface and underwater inspections of these structures, and certifications of safety and operational conditions.

Founder

Alonso Echevarría, Director of AEX Group, brings a strong academic background and an innovative vision that has driven the company’s growth and transformation. He earned his degree in Naval Engineering from Universidad Austral de Chile (1991–1997) and complemented his education with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Universidad del Desarrollo (2008–2009), solidifying his profile as a strategist and business leader.

His commitment to innovation led him to complete a Diploma in Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (2016), followed by a program in Digital Transformation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in 2019.

Most recently, he completed a Diploma in VDC/BIM at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (2023), further enhancing his expertise in advanced technologies for project management.

With over two decades of experience, Alonso has led AEX Group with a clear vision: to integrate innovation and technology to deliver efficient and sustainable solutions for the aquaculture industry. His strategic approach and passion for technological development have positioned AEX Group as a benchmark in the field.
