Certification Department
One of AEX Group’s key areas of work is certifications and audits, which involves on-site verification of the proper operation of aquaculture facilities, among other responsibilities.
SERVICE

Certification of Mortality Systems (RES. EX. 1511)
Verify and certify the documentation related to the mortality system provided by the farming center operator.
The certifier must confirm on site that: the center has each of the declared and evaluated systems or equipment listed in the documentation; each declared system or equipment is functioning properly; the layout and placement of surface or submerged systems or equipment match the submitted location plan; and carry out any additional actions deemed necessary to fulfill their duties.

Certification of Structures (RES. EX. 1821)
Verify and certify the documentation provided by the farming center operator, ensuring that the submitted information complies with the requirements set forth in RES. EX. 1821. The certifier must confirm compliance with the following sections of the resolution: the survey, measurement, and analysis of environmental parameters for the design of the farming system; the farming module; the mooring system; and the traceability, biannual verification, annual certification, and vessel operation.

T-1821
Develop a digital solution to control and manage the assets of flotation systems (walkways, floaters, and buoys), mooring systems (mooring lines, naval miscellaneous equipment, and anchors), and containment systems (grow-out nets, predator nets, and bird nets) used in salmon grow-out farming centers. This solution must comply with the traceability requirements set forth in RES. EX. 1821 and its amendments (3362/2021 and 941/2025).

SMA
Review the georeferenced positioning of the farming center, including the cage rafts and naval artifacts, to determine whether these structural elements are located within the boundaries of the aquaculture concession. This georeferencing service responds to requirements from the Environmental Superintendency (SMA) and is carried out in accordance with the guidelines established in the “Procedure to Establish the Positioning of Structures in Salmon Grow-out Centers” (SMA, November 2021).
